Come to Cresskill this Saturday 9-4 for their annual Friends of The Library town wide garage sale. This is one huge event in town. This year they have 65 households participating. All proceeds go to help the library. Maps will be available in front of the Cresskill Library (53 Union Ave) and you can also find it at the bottom of their website home page.
Garage sales are fun. Would you believe it? I have customers I've sold houses to who furnished their home through garage sales. In fact one couple found beautiful antique furniture pieces that they restored themselves.
For most of us, garage sales are just great to pick through. You never know what bargains you'll find and there's always a lot of interesting items for sale. This weekend is a huge garage sale weekend in Cresskill.
The weather will be great, there are tons of garage sales to go through and if you get hungry or thirsty, Cresskill has some great restaurants along with Kings Market.
Here's a word of advice for you – go early. People who go to garage sales regularly to hunt for hidden treasures and bargains are serious shoppers. You will often find them in front of a house hours before the sale starts. So if you don’t want to miss the deals, get there early.
